Netherlands Cricket Team

English teams (including one featuring Arthur Conan Doyle) toured Netherlands for cricket since the late 19th century, but it was in 1966 that they received Associate Membership of the ICC, two years after beating Australia in a one-inning game. Netherlands featured in the 1996, 2003, 2007, 2011 and 2023 ODI World Cups, and co-hosted the 1999 tournament without participating in it. In the 2009 T20 World Cup, they caused a sensation when they downed England in a thriller, and in 2022, they caused another big upset, knocking South Africa out of the competition. A year later, they beat South Africa once again, in the ODI World Cup.
